Fall Bourbon Sangria

Serves 4
A full-bodied sangria
Ingredients
- 1 bottle merlot (or another full bodied red)
- 1/2 c bourbon whiskey
- 1/2 c apple juice
- 1 apple
- 1 orange
- 1 plum
- 1 pear
- 1 cinnamon stick
Instructions
- Dice (or slice) all your fruit into even size pieces and add to pitcher. Add the cinnamon stick.
- Pour the wine, bourbon and apple juice over the fruit and gently stir to mix.
- Cover & chill for at least 3 hours (preferably overnight).
- Serve over ice and garnish with extra cinnamon sticks and extra fruit if you wish.
Notes
- I prefer my sangrias with a lot of fruit. Cut back the amount of fruit you used if you don't want as much!
