Cranberry “White Christmas” Sangria

Okay, so I’m rushing fall along here but I LOVE Christmas and can’t wait to make this sangria. I actually tried to convince my husband that it was okay to decorate the house for Christmas the other day (Oct. 1). I almost succeeded.

Cranberry "White Christmas" Sangria
Serves 4

Sangria
  1. 2 apples (preferably 1 granny smith & 1 braeburn)
  2. 1 heaping c of fresh cranberries
  3. 1 rosemary sprig
  4. 1 bottle pinot grigio
  5. 1/2 c white grape juice
  6. 1/4 c sugar
  7. 1 can club soda
Garnish
  1. 1/2 c sugar
  2. rosemary sprigs
Sangria
  1. Dice the apples into equal size pieces
  2. In a large pitcher, combine all ingredients less 1/4 c sugar.
  3. Mix well so that all sugar is dissolved.
  4. Cover & chill for at least 2 hours.
Garnish
  1. Dip rosemary sprigs into water and rub/cover with sugar (so it looks like snow).
